15 Aug We got our pets to guest judge Fun Times Friday
Say hello to Maggie, Mildred and Ryu.
We love our fur babies here at BMHQ, so we thought it was about time we gave them the chance to wear some BM of their own. And what better place to start for inspiration than with our very own pets?

From left to right: Maggie, Mildred and Ryu.
When you snap up one of the Reversible Dresses from this week’s Fun Times Friday, we’ll send you a bonus bandana to match, so you can rock it with your best friend furever.
But wait! These Fun Times Friday dresses will only go ahead in the four most popular prints – so make sure you get your vote in on Facebook to have your say. For this edition of Fun Times Friday, voting will be open until 11am (AEST) on Friday 16 August, and dresses will be available to purchase from 12pm (AEST).
To help you decide where to cast your vote, we went and put the dresses and bandanas through their paces and got some feedback from the harshest fashion critics out (our pets).
Let’s explore the inspiration behind each print and how you can style your bandana – whether it’s on your cat, your dog, or yo’self!
Friends Furever

Our Friends Furever print is made for anyone who loves cats and dogs – because why should you have to pick a side? If you look closely, you might even spot a baby Ryu lookalike.
Ryu’s review
I give this print 4 out of 5 borks. It would be a 5, if it wasn’t for the cattos. Still cute tho.

Aisha is wearing the Reversible Skater Dress, racer-front side. Yep, these dresses are two-styles-in-one. Wear it with the scoop neck at the front or flip it around to the racer side for a totally different look.
Ryu is wearing the matching bandana, folded into a triangle style. This fold works best on medium to large dogs, but for cats and smaller dogs, just add an extra fold to your triangle to make it mini size!

Top Dogs

Ryu, Polly, Josie, Hudson, Bentley, Chevy, Percy, Olive, Milford, Rogue, Manfred, Hugo, Ziggy, Kado *INHALES* Ava, Sunshine, Meelah… These are the puppers of BMHQ all featured on this print.
Hardcore dog lovers, this is the print for you.
Ryu’s review
This iz my all time favourite print! It’s a 5 out of 5 from me. Who couldn’t love these very good bois and girls?

Thea wears the Reversible Longline Dress, scoop-front side.

My Wife’s Lovers

Did you know My Wife’s Lovers was a painting commissioned by Kate Johnson, a wealthy Los Angeles local who lived with her 350 cats?! Yes, really. So next time someone wants to call you a crazy cat lady, tell them about Kate Johnson. Then keep working toward your goal of getting to 350 cats yourself.
Mildred’s review
I give this print 6 out of 5, it doesn’t get classier than this. I’d never wear the same outfit twice, but I don’t wants to take this off!
Steal their style
Eden wears the Reversible Skater Dress, scoop-front side. Mildred is wearing her matching bandana, rolled up into a cute lil’ collar!

Cherub Cats

We spot a Mildred lookalike on our Cherub Cats print! This was made for all those kitty-lovers who know their feline friends are the most perfect little angels… who would NEVER scratch the furniture or bite your toes in the middle of the night.
Maggie’s review
Hmmm this print gets a 4 out of 5 from me. The only thing that could make it better is if it had some doggo cherubs too. We all know dogz are the real angels after all!
Steal their style
Kristy wears the Reversible Skater Dress, scoop-front side out. Maggie is wearing the matching bandana, mini triangle style!

Big Kitty

All cats are kitties! It doesn’t matter how big they are (or their teeth). Big Kitty is a new animal print, with bigger spots and a more realistic level of detail compared to our previous takes on big cats.
Mildred’s review
This print is WILD. My great great grandma had a coat just like this. Very chic. 5 out of 5.

Sam wears the Reversible Skater Dress, scoop-front side, and shows us how humans can rock the bandanas too! Roll it up and style it as a neck tie for an ultra-chic feel or wrap it around your noggin as a little headband. Pro tip: wear the headband style with a little bow at the front (like Eden shown below) for extra adorable-ness.
