Meet the BlackMilk Team (At Home!)

Like millions of workers around the world, many of our team members are currently working from home. We caught up with a few of them to see how they’re getting on with the at-home life.

What do you do at BlackMilk?

I make things work on the interwebs so you hoomans can buy clothes! 

What’s your favourite thing about working from home?

I gets to bork at the postie every day when he brings my online shopping goodies (very sneaky, my hoomans haven’t even noticed all dese new toys that are suddenly in the house…)

What’s your favourite at-home snack?

Peanut butter! No, no, is cookies! No, wait, is bacon! Sorry, dis question too hard, I need to nap now.

What do you do at BlackMilk?

I create nothing short of magic through words.  

What’s your favourite BlackMilk piece?

I know you want me to say something like Friends Furever (incidentally, I was a model for that print…), but I refuse to conform to your cuteness standards. My favourite is actually the I Eat Mice leggings, because even though I’ve never caught a mouse in my life, one must have a dream.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

I enjoy reading the classics, listening to modern jazz, and occasionally licking my nether regions.

Ryu and Luna, Growlfic Designers

What do you do at BlackMilk?

Ryu: We makes things pretty! I love working with my best fren Luna! Although now is only virtual meetings. 

Luna: We are not best friends. 

What’s your favourite thing about working from home?

Ryu: I can has naps at lunch time! And morning break. And afternoon break. And sometimes I has sneaky naps in between those naps. After long hard day’s work, I treat myself to a glass of wine. And has one more nap before bed. 

Luna: Being alone.

Do you miss being in the office?

Ryu: Oh yes! I miss all my frens, and booping all their snoots, and rubbing my furs all over de clothes!

Luna: No.

What do you do at BlackMilk?

I create spreadsheets and plan how many clothes the hoomans need (the answer is always MOAR CLOTHES!)! Nobody thinks doggos can be good enuf at maths to work wiv numbers, but dat’s not true. I can count up to three by tapping my paw on da ground!

What’s your favourite thing to binge watch?

I love Barking Bad, Barks and Recreation, and Pawson’s Creek (dat one’s an oldie but a goodie).

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

ZOOMIES!

Jasper and Finn, Purr-inting

What do you do at BlackMilk?

Jasper: We purrint fun things on clothes! I wasn’t even looking for a job, I just wandered into the purrint room one day looking for snaks. Dat’s where I met Finn – and now we’re BFFs dat work together and live together too!

What’s your favourite thing to binge watch?

Finn: We just look up YouTube videos of birds all day.  

What’s your favourite BlackMilk print?

Both: Feline Fine!

What do you do at BlackMilk?

I tell hoomans “turn it awf and on again”!

What’s your favourite at-home snack?

A healthy smoovie of kale, spinush, and carrots.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

I has very intensive snoozin’, nomming, and borking schedule.

Mildred: We chat to pawsome people online!

What’s your favourite thing about working from home?

Mildred: The work-life balance – I can easily maintain my active daily routine of knocking over water glasses, hunting for flies and yelling at birds.

Do you miss being in the office?

Mildred: Yes, but it’s okay because we have so many friends right here on the internet!
