An old, old story tells of a conversation between an elderly man and his grandson. The grandfather tells the child that there is a fight happening inside him.
“The fight is between two wolves,” he said. “One is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
“The other wolf is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth and compassion,” he continued. “The fight between them is happening inside you too – and inside everybody else.”
The grandson asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”
