Ok peeps, I have some disturbing news: Valentine’s Day is approaching.
If you have a thing for flowers and chocolate and public displays of affection and lots and lots and lots and lots of heart shaped stuff, you’re probably celebrating right now.
If you’re in the former category, yeah we’re gonna have a few pieces for you. They’re actually super adorable, you’re gonna love ‘em.
See? Totes adorbs.
But if you number among the masses that think it’s all a little weird and over the top, don’t stress. We’ve got your back.
Remember this awesome piece?
Drawn by this guy, James Patrick? Live in Sydney?
Yeah that was pretty cool right? We thought so. James himself thought so too. In fact, he thought the whole thing was so cool that he asked us - "Can I draw for you again? Maybe for Valentine’s day?”
We said "Yes please!"
Then he said "Can I draw an anti-valentine’s piece?"
And WE said, “You surely can!”
And so it shall be! That’s right – more James Patrick, on your bod. This time in full-colour Hallmark Holiday Satire form. Awww yeaaah.
Now here are the deets:
James Patrick will be live drawing the Black Milk Anti-Valentine piece from the 1st of February until the 14th of February, 2014. He'll be travelling around Sydney and drawing in different places (and taking suggestions from Sharkies!).
James will also be running his own competition, giving away 4 pairs of the Anti-Valentiune's day leggings!
You can check facebook.com/artistjames for comeptition deets and drawing locations / times.
The Anti-Valentine piece will be released on www.blackmilkclothing.com around the end of March :)
So if you’re in Sydney, spend your Valentine’s Day with someone special. By which I mean go hang out with James and watch him draw an awesome thing. He doesn’t bite, unless it’s a full moon, and even then it only happens sometimes. Besides, it’s cheaper than dinner for two (free, in fact) and you’ll be watching a limited edition Black Milk piece being born.
I call that a win-win situation :)
(Special thanks to Sean Bean for having an abundance of meme-able one-liners?)
