1. You need to join the BM Facebook group! Need, peeps. That's right - I classify joining the Black Milk Facebook group in the same category as in oxygen, food, companionship, and a sense of purpose.

Basically because I want to be able to bounce ideas off you guys a bit quicker and get feedback. Is that selfish?

...and if there are going to be any bargains or one offs, that's where they'll be (like the 50 pairs of discounted leg bones that disappeared in two hours last week). :)

I know. However, (and don't tell Jeremy this) I think I can do them a little cooler.

9. For those concerned about the leggings being discontinued, let me explain. I have had some fabric issues lately, which I am working to resolve. However, if I can't resolve them, I'm not going to be very happy with the products and will probably cut all the printed leggings.

p.s I think I have enough fabric for six more pairs of Rose leggings, then they're gone, baby, gone. I'm not being a meanie, they just don't manufacture this fabric anymore.

1. There has been an interesting discussion about whether the beautiful KD's body is morally acceptable. Answer seems to be yes. She's shot two collections for me now, and I think her look is fantastic. Fantastic for what I do, anyway. I'm sure it's not a look that is for every style, but for killer leggings and swimsuits, perfect. :)

Having said that, I would like to share a slightly incriminating photo. The conversation leading up to it went something like this:

KD: I think this has been worn... someone sweated in it

JL: Really? I don't think that one has been worn yet...

KD: Yes, it has. It smells in the armpits.

JL: For realz?!

KD: Yeah, smell it.

JL: Ummmm, okay.

Is that weird?

Yeah, that's probably a bit weird. (And for anyone interested... she was right. Stinky.)

Friends Make Graphs Together

1. Life is a little surreal for me at the moment. I oscillate between dazed, confused, and just plain terrified.

Imagine you have a pet beast. A cute one, with little tentacles, fangs, bat wings, multiple eyes, fur, etc. and you think "Well, I'd like my beast to grow and then everyone can see how cool my beast is." And so you feed your beast, (and feed it, and feed it). A few crumbs, a burger, a little rat flesh. And soon you start thinking "Hmmmm... that beast is getting bigger than me. And it's actually looking quite scary. I love my beast and my beast loves me, but that thing could probably strangle me and eat me..." In fact, when you play with your beast you begin to feel that it's so big that it is consuming you. So you try to stop feeding it so much. Slow the beast down. Prevent it consuming you. But it's too late. You're so proud of your beast that you can't help but keep feeding it, even though every time you do it becomes bigger and scarier. And worse still, the beast is big enough to start feeding itself completely independently of you. It's growing faster than you could have ever imagined... and it's just plain scary. So what do you do...?

You cling on for dear life and hope that that big beast you created can still in some way resemble that cute little beast you had at first.

2. I've been getting quite a few pics from girls with fairly large BM collections recently. Got this from the supercute AC (draped in printed leggings).

Featuring the tiger stripes bodysuit...I made just made the one, and it is cool.

3. I often get asked about how my swim pieces look on curvier/bustier girls. Well, I got these pics recently featuring the very beautiful DB:

Splish Splash

1. Hello peeps! Long time no see... did you miss me?

A huge thankyou to everyone who has picked up pieces from the swim collection, it is always appreciated! We're sewing around the clock at the moment trying to get everything out, but people are ordering them faster than we can make them. A good problem to have, I guess (although, due to the demand, I did have to cancel a holiday!).

No prizes for guessing what everyone seems to be buying at the moment - the Artoo:

All the major geek blogs posted this one, and there has been a huge amount of interest.

Which is cool - although I do wish some of my other pieces were getting more love. Seriously, there is some cool stuff in there (if I might say so myself). I mean... how cool is the Pulp Sesame design?!

** On a secondary note... I'm really surprised at some of the hating you find on these blogs. Here are some comments from Geekologie, hating on myself and the indisputable beautiful KD:

Good point, because Cali and the NE are actually the only places on earth where people exist. 

I'm a girl, and I'm not gonna defend the model. She does look like a 12 year old boy and anybody with half a mind and at least some semblance of curves would pass up any purchase just from seeing how one tracked their image of the female body is. What are we all, sticks?

Swim Collection Out Tomorrow! (Pre-Release)

1. Well, the day is almost upon us - the very first Black Milk swim collection will be pre-released tomorrow!

They will all be very reasonably priced, and will replace all the currently available Black Milk bodysuits (the swimsuits can be worn as both). They'll all be going out in the next few weeks. :)

Video Tomorrow!

1. Well, lots happening at Black Milk HQ. I have never had to make so much gear in my life. Mercy. It's awesome. :)

Just to let you know that the swim collection will be ready very soon. I'm tempted to put them up for pre order while we put the finishing touches on them. Summer approaches (in Australia).

2. Got tipped off to these at Pixie Mart (I think).

I like the shoes.

3. My feeling is that if your leggings look like some kind of unicorn pox, time to have a good think about your design aesthetic.

C'mon, you have to agree that this looks like unicorn pox.

4. This is why I call my blog Too Many Tights... it's for girls who own waaaaaay too many tights.

6. Styling Catsuits can be a real challenge... even for a spice girl.

I'm not going to show you the back view of this because this is a family blog. Suffice to say, if you go plain catsuit, make sure the nylon is nice and thick. Like so.

7. I made a version of this and no one liked it. It was a sky blue unitard. I threw it in the bin. :(
